VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a new technology to make and receive phone calls using high-speed Internet instead of a traditional phone line. The technology basically converts phone calls into data that gets transferred through high-speed Internet. The data then converts back to voice with great quality on the other side.

To get Tarasol Phone you only need to have Internet connection of 512 kbps or faster, such as ADSL.
Once you have that, you are ready. You can:
1-Hook a broadband phone you can get from Tarasol to your DSL modem.

2- Hook an adapter you can get from Tarasol to your DSL modem so you can use your ordinary tone dial phone.

No. there is no need to keep your computer on while using the Tarasol Phone. You don’t even need a computer to do that.
However, you will need to keep your DSL modem on in order for Tarasol Phone to stay connected.

Yes. As a matter of fact a conversation on a Tarasol Phone line is more secure than one over a traditional phone line. VoIP breaks up voice into bits called packets. These packets are sent over the Internet and reassembled at the other end. This transfer of data, unlike traditional phone lines, protects personal information and maintains privacy since the packets contain encrypted data in them and they usually do not take the same path over the Internet. Moreover, Tarasol’s servers enjoy many security features to prevent unauthorized access to the internal network.

Tarasol Phone numbers are 7 digit numbers, just like any phone number. You can get a 08 area code number.
